Joseph Martin (Wisconsin politician)

Joseph Martin (May 12, 1878-March 19, 1946) was a politician and juror in the state of Wisconsin.

Biography

Martin was born to Edward and Bridget Martin in Rockland, Wisconsin.[1] On October 5, 1904 he married Mildred Eleanor Wright. He made his home in Green Bay.

Career

Martin studied law at his family's law firm and was admitted to the bar. He was active in civic affairs and was a member of the local school board. Martin served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1903 to 1904. Later he would serve as Justice of the Wisconsin State Supreme Court. He was also a member of the Democratic National Committee.[2]
